Issue 39: Collaboration in a time of crisis

In this edition of Wildlife Matters we bring you uplifting stories of conservation-in-action in response to the devastating bushfire season. We examine AWC’s EcoFire fire management program and the role of indigenous partnerships that have helped protect the properties we manage and the threatened species that inhabit them. We also cover the latest on AWC’s threatened species reintroductions program including the plan to return the Burrowing Bettong to Newhaven; monitoring the rare Red Goshawk; AWC’s contribution to the Threatened Species Index; and the progress of our work to establish feral-free areas in the NSW National Parks.
