AWC has substantially more experience than any other non-government organisation in Australia in translocating threatened wildlife. AWC has translocated over 3,600 animals from 23 species, into, out of, and between, eight AWC sanctuaries in more than 60 translocation events.
Many of these translocations have involved reintroducing threatened mammals into large, feral-free areas. AWC is the only organization in Australia to have established multiple large feral-free areas.
